Time Flies and so do I

I’m putting my post script at the top because it’s the most recent and most relevant part of this “travel update”.

I was very much reminded this week that life is short and we never know when it may end.  Or how. Living in this moment and not dwelling in the past or fretting for the future is sometimes difficult but I keep trying. I hope that we can all keep our loved ones close in our hearts and lives.  Wishing you peace and love.

Hello,
I can't believe my last travel update was in May!  Where does the time go?  And so quickly at that.

Since May I've been to Vegas, San Fransisco, a cabin in the woods , Burning Man and Mexico.  Mexico continues to hold a very special place in my life and heart. My Spanish continues to slowly get better as my list of friends there gets longer.  I spent an amazing week with the people who work and own my favorite stone tienda.  I spent Day of the Dead in the cemetery with their family, later eating homemade mole and tamales.  I atended a birthday celebration bbq where the bday man went out of his way to purchase veggies to grill for me.  The halloween party, where every family member from kids to grandparents participated in, was amazing.  Costumes, dancing, pinatas.  Yes, I did salsa dance.  And just so you know my dancing is worse than my Spanish.  But we laughed and had a lot of fun.  I was gifted stones, candy, homemade chocolate, earrings, a snake skin and copal.  I'm a very fortunate person indeed.

I've also been working at my "day job" a lot!  As it is coming to a screeching halt on November 30th.  Champagne Fridays will be a thing of the past.  No more 10th floor sunset views. It was a good run and one month short of 5 years of flexibility and working with my hands. Two things I value immensely.  All in all it was a very rewarding job and I appreciate the opportunity.

When I tell people my job is ending, I'm most often met with fear and panic. "What will you do?????!!!!" They seem to think the world will end.  The world may end at the hands of a big orange idiot but not because I will be without a job.  :)I do however appreciate the concern. Thank you. ❤️

I do not know what I will do next.  I don't even know what I'd like to do next. I open to things. Mostly, I am trusting that just as this job was sent to me, something else will find it's way to me.  Or I to it.  In the mean time I will make jewelry, paint, and travel.

I'm available to pet sit again, clean your house, or paint your portrait.  :)

The only thing constant in life is change. Thankfully, for this wanderlust heart, change is often met with excitement. Sometimes there's dread too but at least it's not boring.

I'm looking forward to reuniting with friends both near and far in the new year.

Besos y abrazos fuertes!!!
Los amo a todos
