Trees dance in the breeze. Green canopies decorate the sky with delicate lace. Soft grass beneath my feet, I slowly walk. Taking in the sights and smells. A pigeon coos "hello". A chickadee flashes yellow. The hum of tiny wings seeking nectar is heard. Nature welcomes me. Home. I dip my feet in the lake with intention. Gratitude in my heart. Fishermen paddle by. Farmers tend their plots. I breath. Hope. Low in the sky the moon full and bright. Stars appear one by one. The lake laps it's shore. In the distance, lights of humanity twinkle. I close my eyes and meet the Self. A cricket chirps. Freedom.
