Home is where your yoga mat lands

I've been home for almost two weeks and have already gone on a rebound
trip to the Oregon coast. It was great!

I did my first headstand without a wall this week. That is very exciting to me!

Guatemala was amazing in a different way than India. The daily routine
included yoga 3.5-4 hours a day. Meditation from 2-4 hours a day and a
couple hours of lectures on yoga, meditation and /or Ayurveda.

I met more wonderful people from around the world and challenged
myself to do things I would have never before considered. From a water
fast to 4 days in silence. I spent 33 hours alone in dark retreat. A
single room brick dome, without any light whatsoever, doing everything
from brushing my teeth to yoga in complete darkness and silence. I
also wrote a couple of poems inspired by things specific to this trip.
If you're interested in reading them just ask.

I stopped in Mexico City on my way home for a day and a half.  I
bought all the stones.  Had a close call on seeing Julio and  was
reminded how much I love Mexico City.  You'll have to see me in person
if you want to hear more.

The weather here in Portland is expected to get better tomorrow! It'll
make it much easier to stay here in town and get some work done! Work
work, jewelry work, art work, house work, yard work, etc. etc. :)

I only have a few short summer trips planned (Vegas, SF, Camping,
Burning Man) so I'd love to hear what you're up to! Maybe while
swimming at a river or a walk around town?

A special thank you to those of you who read, reply, update me on your
lives, and especially those who check in while I'm gone! Thank you!
Please do let me know if you would rather not receive these.

Hoping all is well with you!
Love and a 20 second hug,
Serena
